What is Learn to Play?

Learn to Play is the next step after Learn to Skate. It is designed to prepare young hockey players for a full season of hockey.

For more information on Learn to Skate for your child's first steps on the ice click here

In the Jr Cyclones LTPH Program:

-Kids will learn the basics of shooting, passing, stick handling, defending and goaltending while continuing to improve on their skating skills

-Each session will consist of station based drills and cross-ice games designed to teach players the basic rules and build a fun environment

-Access to Free Youth Stick Time Sessions

-Free gear for all participants

-Attendees will need to pay a separate annual registration fee with USA Hockey to be able to sign up for LTP (USA Hockey Membership: https://membership.usahockey.com/)

Equipment

All new members will receive a free set of equipment provided by the Cincinnati Cyclones Foundation. The set of equipment includes a helmet, jersey, shoulder pads, gloves, stick, pants, shin pads and socks. All equipment is for the players to keep.  Skates are available for rental free of charge and must be returned after each date. Skaters are to provide their own neck guard (newly mandated by USA Hockey), mouth guard, under gear, jock/jill and tape to hold equipment in place.
